Liaison Services

The Liaison Services Team delivers a range of services to support the research and relevant learning and teaching outcomes of the UOW community. 

The Team is active in two primary areas of strategic focus.

Academic Outreach

This service fosters close relationships between the Library and the academic community, so the Library can better align its services and the scholarly information it provides to the research and teaching needs of the University.

The Academic Outreach team are available to provide information; organise service delivery; give presentations; attend Faculty meetings; actively seek feedback to better understand issues relating to research, teaching and learning. They are also committed to facilitating a broader understanding of the various aspects of the research life cycle.

Educational Liaison: academic services and collection building

The Liaison Services librarians bring value to the UOW community through the delivery of a range of face-to-face and virtual inquiry services and research skills consultations that build capability and understanding of discipline-specific scholarly information and relevant discovery tools. They are also instrumental in the selection and management of discipline-based scholarly content to ensure the Library's collection directly aligns with the teaching and research priorities of the University.
