You should be back in the swing of uni now, as we head into Week 4 of session. As you start work on your assignments, why not come and see us at the Research Help desk or email your questions to Email-A-Librarian? We can show you the best way to search for free information for your assignment topic, saving you time and effort.

Have a group project coming up? Book your group study room early to make sure you get the time that suits you best. You can book 2 weeks in advance.

Tip: Make sure you arrive on time. After 10 minutes has elapsed, we can make the room available for other students.

Books, book chapters and articles on your reading list are usually listed in your subject outline. If your lecturer has placed books in Short Loans or had articles or chapters added to e-readings, you will be able to access them by searching with your subject code. Go to the catalogue search page, select the Subject code tab.

If your readings do not appear here, trying the following:
Books: Search the catalogue using the Title.
Book chapters: Search the catalogue using the book’s title. (Make sure you are using the book title, not the chapter title).
Journal article: Search for the Journal title in the catalogue and then locate the article using the volume number, issue number and page numbers.
