Summer Session, 2010
Hi there,
Library staff wish you best of luck with your studies this year. We hope you had a fantastic summer break and are ready for an exciting and challenging 2010!

Are you new to UOW or know someone who is?

Find your way around the large Library building, learn how to find books on shelves as well as be shown the HUGE range of resources and different spaces to be found in the Library.

Go on a guided tour in O-Week (2pm Daily) or in Weeks 1 – 4, see advertisements around the Library for times. If you prefer to do it yourself, download or borrow the Start Smart Audio tour.

Library website > Help > Start Smart: Library orientation

Planning on using your personal laptop at Uni this year? You’ll find loads more powered study desks on Level 1 and 2 of the Library.

New users click here for wireless network setup. Returning laptop users may need to update their settings as a new Security Certificate is in place, see staff at the Information Desk if your laptop does not automatically detect the change.

Powered up

Sick of losing your USB key? Come and collect a USB Thumbdrive lanyard from the Information Desk and write your name on it! Once attached to your USB key, the ribbon hangs on the desk so you can’t miss it – and if you do manage to leave it behind, we can identify your thumbdrive when you come to ask for it at the Information Desk.

Avoid the frustration of losing your almost complete assignments this year!

Squeeze in a bit more fun!
For those of you still relaxing, the Library holds a wide range of summer reading in our Leisure Reading collection. We also have a wide range of CDs and DVDs for you to borrow.
