3 May - Autumn Session 2010 Hi there,
The Library is the busiest it has ever been, with 165,484 visitors this April! Read on to learn how to win some fantastic prizes, and learn some handy hints to find books, seats and more...
| When you’re in a class of over a hundred students who all have the same assignment topic, getting simultaneous access to relevant books in the Library can be difficult!
E-books are books that you can find and read online from any computer. The Library subscribes to them, which means that you can only access them through the Library’s website.
The fastest way to find e-books is using Search Guru.
Learn How. | |
| If you have been inside the Main Library recently, you will have noticed there are more people using the Library than ever before! To ensure the best use of desks and computers, we are asking students not to leave desks unattended. Our Code of Conduct states that desks cannot be reserved, and items should not be left unattended for longer than 20 minutes. | |
| You can assist our staff by reporting desks left unattended for 10 minutes. We hope that this will reduce your frustration, and that the only empty seats you find are ones you can sit in!

World Cultures is a cross-cultural database that contains information on all aspects of cultural and social life. Updated annually, the eHRAF database is unique in that the information is organised into cultures and ethnic groups and the full-text sources are subject - indexed at the paragraph level.
You can either browse alphabetically by culture, region or country, or search the database using the Search tab.
