Library Info4U

1 November - Spring 2010
Hi there,
Library staff wish all students frantically studying for final exams good luck! For those of you using Library space and computers to write and revise your notes, please do not leave your desk for more than 20 minutes if you are leaving your belongings behind. There are people desperate for a seat!

What's happening on Level 2?
The Library purchased numerous journal backsets and archives this year to expand access to online fulltext journals. Many of these journal volumes were also in print on Level 2.
Space is at a premium in the Library, and we have used this opportunity to free up valuable space to install more group study rooms and powered desks. We know from research and your feedback that students and staff prefer to access journal articles online and the convenience of working from your home or office. Renovations on Level 2 will commence as Spring Session comes to a close, readying this new learning space for Autumn 2011.
Exam time!
Don’t forget the Library is here to help you. We provide:
> Released past exam papers
> Exam guides and study resources
> Expert research help
> Excellent workspaces

Voices of Children: Turkey exhibition

How do children in different countries make sense of the world in which they live? How do their experiences shape their personal and cultural identities and how can we share this information? Voices of Children is an international project run by the Faculty of Education that provides a medium for answering these questions.

Voices of Children: Turkey is an exhibition of words and images from the children of Izmir Turkey & Wollongong. You are invited to the opening of the exhibition.

When: Monday 1st November @ 6pm
Where: Panizzi Room, Library
Exhibition is open all week (1 – 7 November).

Reminders: Fines and borrowing over summer

Don’t forget that to prevent your results being withheld, you need to pay any outstanding Library fines by November 25. If you would like to borrow books and DVDs over the summer, you will need to be enrolled in subjects for Autumn 2011.

Remember, don’t struggle – ask us for help!

Warm regards
The team at the Library
