Conditions of use - ACM Digital Library
Users
Authorised users
Faculty members (including temporary or exchange faculty); graduate and undergraduate students; staff members of the University of Wollongong.
Walkin users (members of the public, visitors etc)
Walk-ins are permitted to use ACM Digital Library from within the Library. Remote access to the DL by members of the public is not permitted.
Permitted use
Search, browse, view, and download the content in the DL. All downloading and printing by Authorized Users will be for research and scholarly purposes only, unless approved by ACM in writing. Authorized Users may include items from the DL for their use in connection with classroom instruction.
Coursepacks
ACM materials may be included in print and electronic coursepacks and print coursepacks. Permission granted without fee if the course material is produced without charge to the student. There are provisions for commercial course packs. See other
Document delivery
Permission granted without fee for an institution with an ACM Digital Library license to download and print works for Interlibrary Loan. The Digital Library may be used as the source for the printed copy. The loan of the work is limited to printed copies, as part of normal library functions under CONFU Guidelines. Electronic dissemination is not allowed.
Prohibited use
Neither the Subscriber nor Authorized Users may modify, adapt, transform, translate, or create any derivative work based on any of the materials in the DL. Any copyright notices, or other notices appearing in the DL may not be removed, obscured, or modified in any way.
ACM materials may NOT copied to be placed on electronic reserve.
Site restrictions

Remote usage
Allowed. Since institutional access is authenticated by IP address, it is up to the institution to provide a proxy server for its remote users, and to register the IP address of that proxy with ACM.
