Hints from the web address (URL)
Often the website's address (URL) is a key to identifying
the type of page you are viewing. The URL may end
in .edu or .gov which tells you where the page originates
from. This is called a domain. The following table
lists some common domains.

Country signature domains
An additional part of the domain which can help
indicate relevance is the part which represents
the country of origin. It is called the country
signature domain. Note: The United States of America
has no country signature domain, as the Internet
was originally developed there.
