What database should I search?

The UOW Library has over 200 subject specific and multidisciplinary databases. Selecting a database has been made easier by grouping together relevant databases for each Faculty. Click on your faculty name on the library’s Databases webpage to view a list of relevant databases. Also check the information icon for additional details on subject coverage, date range, geographic coverage and format.

TIPS
Want to search within a known journal title?

Each database provides access to a selected range of journals and other publications. If you know the name of a particular journal and want to search for articles within that journal, you need to find out what database that journal is indexed in. The Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory database provides information about different journals published throughout the world including where it is indexed.

Looking for historical information?
A print version of a database is called a print index. Print indexes can be useful sources of historical information on various topics (although some print indexes are still currently produced). Citations are usually arranged by various subject headings and are rarely fulltext. Click on the PDF to view a list of print indexes available in the UOW Library
