Notes:

  • It is good practice to find and cite the original work. If not possible or appropriate, it is only necessary to include an entry in the reference list for the work actually read (see example 1). However, if relevant or useful, an entry for the original work being cited can be included in the reference list (see example 2).
  • The list of examples is not exhaustive. Use these examples as a guide to help reference works citing other sources
