Finding e-books

  1. E-books can be found by searching the Library Catalogue.
  2. E-books can be identified by the e-book symbol that appears in the format column
  3. To find e-books on a particular topic, try a keyword search and choose the 'limit to' 'Material Type = ebook' option or search for the title of the book if you know it.
  4. If accessing e-books from EBL, NetLibrarySafari, ScienceDirect or Taylor & Francis home pages, users can search across the UOW licensed e-books available from each publisher.

  • Project Gutenberg - Project Gutenberg produces electronic books (e-texts) and makes them freely available to the public. Over 5,000 e-books are available.
  • Project Gutenberg of Australia - Includes Australian writers, works about Australia and works of interest to Australians.
  • Free Books - Links to a range of worldwide e-books.
