ABS/AVCC CURF Statistical Data

What is a CURF?

CURFs are Confidentialised Unit Record Files from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).

CURFs contain data sets from most of the key ABS social and labour household surveys, and provide the most detailed level of information that can be released.

Types of surveys available:

  • business growth and performance
  • child care
  • education and training
  • household expenditure
  • income and housing costs
  • labour mobility
  • national health and nutrition

The ABS web site provides a complete list of available CURFs

The raw data contained within CURF data sets can be manipulated using standard statistical software such as SAS or SPSS.
