| Access | There are no specific browser requirements but cookies and JavaScript must be enabled. Popups need to be allowed for *.ebrary.com |

| Subjects | From 2011, thousands of books in business and economics, computers and IT, education, engineering & technology, life sciences, physical sciences and social sciences |
| Authentication | IP authentication. |
| Number of users | Multiple users may access the system and individual titles. |
| Time Limits | There are no loans, so there are no time limits. |
| Navigating | Searching using keywords then use the categories displayed to focus your search. Advanced search is recommended because it allows limiting to fields, such as title or subject, otherwise it searches the fulltext, which may limit relevancy. Browse the book titles using the "all subjects" link then the subject categories. Use the contents display, on the right to find the section you wish to read. Use the left and right arrow keys to read a page at a time. Do not click on the ebrary reader, it is not necessary as it opens in a reader window automatically. |
| Printing | Printing is controlled under InfoTools. It is possible to print a chapter or page ranges, within specified limits. The reference is also printed. |
| Saving | There is no download option. |
| Emailing | It is possible to email references and annotations etc from within the user account. There is no option to email documents. |
| Copying | Copy and paste is possible. When this is done the reference is pasted with the text |
| User accounts | User accounts allow you to highlight and annotate documents, save documents and annotations to your personal bookshelf. Create folders on the bookshelf to organise your research |
| Referencing and citing | This site supports referencing in Endnote and Refworks |
| Help | There is extensive help available on the system |
