Accessing the Collections
Items in all the University of Wollongong Library Collections can be located using the one Library Catalogue. The Catalogue will indicate the Library, location, call number and availability of the item.
For availability of items at Batemans Bay and Bega please consult the local public library catalogue. Use the TAFE catalogue for Moss Vale and Loftus. The location information will direct you to the appropriate section of the University Collection within your local Library.
About the Collections
Reference Collection
Items include dictionaries, encyclopedias and directories. Reference items are marked with the prefix R, and are available for use within the Library.
Short Loans Collection
The Short Loans Collection offers short loans to high demand items 2 items are available at a time from the Loans/Information Desk for a two hour loan period, during which time they cannot be taken outside the Library. Some items are available for overnight loan, two hours prior to Library closing. The Short Loans Collection provides access to some materials in electronic format via the Library Catalogue.
Electronic Information Resources can be accessed via the Library web site from computers in the Library or Education Centre. It is necessary to use your student computer account to enable you to make the best use of these resources.
The Lending Collection contains University materials for loan. The number of items and the length of loans is dependent on your borrowing category.
The Serials Collection consists of materials which are primarily in electronic format. A wide range of electronic journals are accessible through the University Library's full text databases.

Follow Me Printing
Everyone hates to queue. With this in mind, we have introduced Follow Me Printing. You can choose any free printer/copier in the Library or a printer in the Student Central labs to release your print job.
