Services for staff
Through a variety of initiatives and services, the Library supports staff with their learning, teaching and research. Faculty Librarians, your main point of contact with the Library, will work with you to assess student learning needs, develop and deliver information skills classes and resources; provide tailored consultation services; and provide advice for the selection of information resources.
Supporting your teaching
Faculty Librarians are professional staff who have expertise to support you and your faculty through a range of initiatives and services:
- Your Faculty Librarian attends the Faculty of Education Committee meetings and the Faculty meetings to provide input to and gain understanding of your faculty needs.
- New and existing academics & researchers are offered Academic Outreach a program providing tailored one-on-one consultations designed to help you explore the myriad of electronic resources available from your desktop.
- Your Faculty Librarian also provides customised information skills classes that support the direct learning outcomes of individual subjects.
- Liaise with your Faculty Librarian for resource selection to support your teaching and research needs.
The Library operates Short Loans and Electronic Readings Service: both collections aim to provide high-demand materials to students while ensuring ready access to all clients. Library staff can work with you to create links to Library resources in your eLearning site and online subject pages.
